Student of the Month: Juliet (Jiu-Jitsu kids)

Congratulations to our Student of the Month: Juliet!
Juliet is in our kids Jiu-Jitsu program here at Silanoe Martial Arts.
Special thanks go out to Juliet’s mom Julie for helping us with the Student of the Month interview questions.

Hi Juliet, can you please tell us a little bit about yourself?

I am 9 years old, live in Covina and I love to color. I also enjoy playing with my baby brother and my nephew Isaiah. I used to play the piano, but I love Jiu-Jitsu better.

Why did you start training Jiu-Jitsu?

I wanted to join Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu because I always loved to watch my big brothers Isaac and Jacob compete.

When did you start training Jiu-Jitsu and how often do you come to class?

I think I started in December. My mom takes me 2 times a week.

What is your favorite thing about Jiu-Jitsu class?

I enjoy learning new moves and having fun with professor and kids

What do you like most about Professor Gino’s teachings?

Professor Gino is very smart and kind. He is also always happy.

Questions for Julie, Juliet’s mom.

What improvements have you noticed in Juliet since she’s been doing Jiu-Jitsu?

I have never seen Juliet be so happy and eager to go to class. Juliet also has also become more confident. She loves to learn new Jiu-Jitsu techniques and be around Professor Gino and Anna. She always has fun together with the kids in the BJJ class. Every time she comes home she wants to demonstrate what she has learned. Juliet is looking forward competing in the future. She truly gets bothered if I can’t take her to class, it really breaks her heart. That’s when you know you have found the right Jiu Jitsu school.
